Who We Serve

  • J.C., Sunrise Drop In Center

J.C. is 19. He was attending school while living on the streets of the Bronx. J.C. slept on park benches and in the subways.  He sold newspapers to buy his food and necessities. Click here to read more about J.C. and his experience with CMCS.

  • Gabriel, Bridges 2 Health Program

Gabriel came to be enrolled in the Bridges to Health (B2H) program by way of Cardinal McCloskey’s Foster Boarding Home program in March 2009.  He had been the victim of abuse, leading to behavior that was too much for his relatives to deal with on their own. Click here to read more.

  • Henry, Adults with Developmental Disabilities, IRA Group Homes

Henry is a kind, gentle man loved and revered by everyone that is fortunate enough to have met him. Until recently, Henry lived at home with his elderly parents. Planning for his future, his parents wanted to ensure that Henry found placement in an environment that would provide him with a quality life. They wanted Henry to live at CMCS. Click here to follow Henry's story.

  • Janie, Preventive Services

Janie was placed into foster care at a very young age and never had the chance to reunite with her birth mother after the mother died as a result of a drug overdose. Click here to read more about Janie and her story.
