Move-in day and a new approach to life

2015 was a very special year as CMCS was able to open 2 additional homes for our individuals with developmental disabilities. The homes, located in Katonah and New Rochelle, represent an opportunity for these young men to live more independent lives.

Our New Rochelle home, seen below, now has four new residents. These young adults with autism will now have an opportunity to continue to lead more independent lives in a safe home with CMCS staff assisting them and continuing to help improve on their many skills through our treatment therapies.

Many of these young adults have aged out of other residences and schools as they reach the age of 21. The opportunities for these young adults are few at this point. The CMCS staff has worked tirelessly to identify new homes and work with communities and families as we work to find safe homes aided by caring and supportive staff.

The future now includes hope for both our new "residents" and their families.
